Arduino Interactive Device: Flick to Win

Updated: Jan 24, 2025
Flick to Win is an interactive device developed with Arduino software. We want to show people’s obsession with winning when there is an incentive to win (in this case, the money). However, our machine is wired in a way such that it isn’t easy to win, so this would spur people to play continuously, to emphasise on the part of “obsession”(Assigned Theme).

These notes act as an amplifier just losing your money, the messages is the concrete proof that they did not win. Our messages are meant to jokingly roast the user. On top of interaction with the machine, it also encourages interaction with other user. It acts as a good conversation starter and adds to the overall user experience. Participants can share their obsession with the machine. We choose to use acrylic as the material so they can bring the keychain souvenir home.
